Cycling II and Owl City

I just realised, of all the things I've mentioned on this blog, particularly about things I love--books, movies, music, or whatever else, I haven't ever spoken about Owl City.

Which is weird.

Because I love Owl City and have for over two years now. And I haven't yet tired of looping whole albums while I aimlessly websurf um, try to write a book review. So, yeah. Plus, I idolize Adam Young, the man behind Owl City, because he's the man behind Owl City. He writes and produces all his songs, all by himself. I mean, the guy's a genius. And I love his blog. He writes so well, and so very... intensely.

Linky, linky: Owl City Blog

So I won't go on about it too much, just enjoy the music. Here are my totes fav songs from Owl City's 3rd album:

1. The Saltwater Room
2. On The Wing
3. Tidal Wave--just the last line
The end is uncertain
And I've never been so afraid
But I don't need a telescope to see that there's hope
And that makes me feel... brave.
Oh, and at this point I did another search, to make sure I had the right words, because this does happen sometimes, that I've been singing the wrong lyrics for years. That makes me sad, because then I feel like I haven't really got the meaning that the writer felt when he/she was writing it. I don't know.
The point(which, I'm increasingly finding is hard to stick to these days) being, that I found:

This:

--which was super-cute and super-awesome. :)

Part 2: Meanwhile, in the real world
The bored people may leave through the back entrance; no point in disturbing the(few) interested lot who remain.

I learnt how to stop the cycle! Hah, that'll show my swimming captain. "Learning to ride a cycle", indeed. And I learnt some more interesting things as well. But then, that's real life. A strictly followed 'see no, hear no, speak no' rule on this blog of mine.

Plus I have Word! Illegally downloaded, of course, but isn't that the best kind? I've been nostalgically reminiscing about days when I used to have to search the packed menu bar for icons like 'save' and 'font' and couldn't just cmnd+I my way through my stories. And what stories they were. The fourteen page epic involving everything. And I mean everything. The forty-page epic involving nothing. Yeah, good times.

Signing off,
K
